Ours will come out on Sunday for the medal then go away again before coming out next month and stay out until October.
I reckon only 10% or so of our club play everything off the whites, most members just want to enjoy themselves, plus a few of the white tees involve a walk back to them so a lot don't bother if they don't have to and just go straight to the yellows.

Our back tees come into play purely for summer knockouts and medals. We are lucky to have four tees so It's not a huge transition other than the par 3 holes.

The par 3s do come as a bit of a shock at our place too.
Three out of the five we have go from 160 in the winter to about 210yd for the summer!!!
Not yet, first comps are next weekend, most clubs have their opening matches then.

Our whites come out at the start of April. We have 3 qualifiers in a row the first three Saturdays and chances are I can't make any of them 
Most holes it's only 10yds or so and mostly psychological, but the 2nd goes from 400 to 450, the 4th 380 to 420, and the 9th 470 to 540.

Ours come out in april also. Spring fourball weekend, then I think we come off them for a few weeks before starting every week again.
