Played with a member from there at Cruden Bay seniors in May - really nice guy and I'd intended playing their seniors, especially as my father in law was a member there years ago - date's sneaked up on me though and I'm working today so can't now

'Good use of changes of elevation' is one of the first comments on top100golfcourses so must be a bit hilly.

Here's videos of each hole http://www.babertongc.com/course-and-club/course-information/course-video

Thanks David, time are available later this afternoon, too late for me so i'm going to give it a miss. thanks.

But don't give playing Baberton a miss altogether! It is certainly not a flat course! Not one where you will need a Sherpa to carry your gear, but plenty of ups and downs. A noteworthy outcome of t the "good use of changes in elevation" is that they are about differences from tee to green not. The 18th is the only hole I can think of that is significant slope from side to side but if you keep your drive left (aim at the clubhouse clock) you are on a fairly flat area and have the best approach angle to a tricky green. Generally, you don't end up constantly playing with the ball way above or below your feet on any hole Every hole has its own character.

We have now finished the course changes that resulted from our new clubhouse being built on a bit of the previous 1st hole but although that took away a bit of the course, we have maintained the length by tweaking other holes. The greens are all sand based.
Plenty of challenges around but it's not overwhelming for the mid-handicapper. The new clubhouse is terrific and we do really good grub. Friendly and informal.

You might like to look at playing on our Visitors Days (25 and 26 July). I'm away from home at the moment till 25 July or would suggest a game soon as my guest - but that could happen in August when I'm back, if you'd like

If you take part in the Visitors Day on the 26th, I'll be around doing some sort of duty or other. Do make yourself known!
