Are you a ball whisperer?

Thinking about it is actually making me laugh. I hadn't consciously realised I'm doing it but my favourite, after a bad one is to ask it "what the f... are you doing over there" :)

Lol, that's me too. Or sometimes I'll say to myself "shot Gaz".

I don't think "sit", "go" etc are too bad, but the one I really hate myself for saying is "be good" or "be the right club". Cringe-worthy.

I often politely request that it do what the shot that struck it would never deserve to have done. Or something like that which makes more sense.

All the the stuff guys say on the course that you hear the pro's say? Not for me, posers.

I'll utter some gem to myself unless it's a real stinker and then anything can happen.....

What makes me laugh is when people call out "kick left, kick left" knowing damn well it's going to kick right and there's bugger all you can do about it!

I think thats exactly it... Surely 'sit' means you want the ball to stop. Makes me laugh when the ball is clearly rolling through the green.

There aren't enough infractions available on this site for me to start going through the various phrases that get shouted at by ball at it veers wildly around the course.....

I'm much more likely to be heard shouting profanities at myself. The ball never listens so I'd rather abuse myself and get a reaction.

I always have a comment, either out loud or to myself.
Don't have any problem others doing the same.
I have more of a grievence with people saying "I knew that was going to happen" so bloody
negative.

Went through a real Lee Trevino phase talking nineteen to the dozen to it but much more reserved now. Bit like my oppo Hawkeye I tend to be a get up, be right talker and another who calls it off the club face and will lean if it doesn't listen

I always shout after my golf ball. But I do only have two things that I will say.

Unfortunately for me the two things I shout are "Fore right" or "Fore left"

Never.

simple reason being that I'm more than likely, but once again, gob smacked and therefore silenced with my stupidity or sometimes, very rarely, am gob smacked and silenced with my 'pleasantly-surprised-ness'.

Whisper? Never. It's normally a bit more vigorous than that.

But its only ever of the stop, stop, stop!!! variety. With an occasional F in L but that's reserved for the boomer straight down the middle which generally doesn't need any encouragement.
