Approximate winter short course standard scratch

Probably like a fair few inland courses, where I play they go into "course protection mode " this time of year. Especially after the summer we had, a lot of temporary tees are actually on the fairway.

I played a couple of times this year and was using one of these round trackers so used it to work out roughly the current hole lengths.

Scorecard wise it is around
6530 SS 72
6150 SS 70

I reckon when I last played it was around
5650

So I was guessing maybe a SS of 67 or 68.

Thought it might help dampen any expectations for the season ahead 😁

Then again the SSS yardage link is set on normal summer conditions. So most courses will be playing longer than their summer yardages at this time of year - even from forward tees like yours.

That said there will be other factors that are more course specific...so it's rarely a science, and a quick comparison of comp results will give the best indication.
