Anyone thinking of taking Ryder cup Friday off........

Absolutely no chance :( I threw a sickie last week afterI left my work gear at the golf club the night before and couldn't be ersed picking it up AM.
Also had to beg for H4H Monday & Tuesday off.

Please don't come on here saying your off playing somewhere nice etc, I don't want to hear it.. I hope it rains :D

It never rains at Lytham.....

I work from home on a Friday, but I'm flat out at the moment so would actually have to work...so I've booked the day off. My only agreed interruption will be a trip to the vets on Sunday AM with one of the dogs, but that should be done before the first game starts so all good, had the vets trip not been planned I would have been out for an early game.

Yep, got Friday off, so watching from the armchair from 1st tee off through until end of play. Always make sure I can get the Friday off when it's this side of the pond. Lots of prep work needed during the week as well to ensure a 'task free' weekend in front of the tv.

Yep, the sun always shines in lytham plus I've heard Green Drive is in great nick at the moment

Watch out Andy, LB has a list of all the North West Courses with the most Left to Right Doglegs. :D

Yep, when are they going to invent a circular golf course (clockwise, of course).:whoo:

Good thinking, but my missus loves the Ryder cup, so no problem there.

Glad I'm not the only one who calls it Ryder Cup friday! Should be a bank holiday really :D

I've got the day booked off and can't wait.

Haven't missed a Ryder Cup day since about 1997, so will be 'working from home' on Friday, glued to the TV from 7am until it finishes on Sunday.

Cant wait, come on Europe!!!

Tickets for the Mereyside derby trump Ryder cup I'm afraid. Might watch sunday though! Friday will definately watched though!

Just got my ticket for the Sunday. Get in! A fairly expensive exercise all in all though despite the ticket, return flights from London and a hotel in Edinburgh the night before has made for one very expensive day out.

Got a real dilemma........Im off Friday, BUT, we are moving house. So thats Sky and tinterweb disconnected , tv's packed up and apparantly it takes 3 weeks to get it all reconnected !!!

Got the Friday off as usual, but missing all day sat, got to take the step son to uni he's just starting, selfish git,!!

Ive booked the day off Friday because im playing in the Ryder Cup...

Nah the Belfry are staging our very own Ryder Cup for its members to play in with the same formats as the real thing and it will take place on all three days (Fri/Sat/Sun)

should be fun :)

I agree, sounds a bit strange paying homage to and hosting your own version of a famous event whilst it is on, so you can't see the actual event. Surely doing it a few days before so whetting the appetite even more for it would have been a better idea. But hey ho, what do I know.

Hey, did you see the epic and exciting finish the the Ryder Cup the other day? No, but I beat Stuart Green from Bloxwich 2 & 1 in our own version. Bostin;)
