Anyone thinking of taking Ryder cup Friday off........

Got to work for 1 and a half hours Thursday morning then I'm off untill the 8th of October get a game Thursday, Friday morning, then probs just 9 Saturday and Sunday morning. Watch the tv the rest of the time. Then I'm off to the dunhill next week for the 4 days.

I agree, sounds a bit strange paying homage to and hosting your own version of a famous event whilst it is on, so you can't see the actual event. Surely doing it a few days before so whetting the appetite even more for it would have been a better idea. But hey ho, what do I know.

Hey, did you see the epic and exciting finish the the Ryder Cup the other day? No, but I beat Stuart Green from Bloxwich 2 & 1 in our own version. Bostin;)

Well there not forcing us to play it so what's the harm? The comp sheet is full to the brim so it's been very popular... Our membership advisor was saying the other day the plan is to play the round on the morning and all watch the Ryder Cup in Sams bar where they normally provide free drink and often food on special comps... Can't argue with that.

Tickets for the Mereyside derby trump Ryder cup I'm afraid. Might watch sunday though! Friday will definately watched though!

Yep, I'm there as well. I'll miss the afternoon games but hopefully watch them come down the stretch after the match, whilst quaffing a celebratory bevy or two.

Sounds like a cracking day out, any split of players. Oldies v young bucks or anything?

As long as you're a red I'll concur!
Going to a Bossmag do after the game so will miss Saturday's pairings. Will be well oiled. It's all about Sunday anyway...

Of course, Kop block 104.

Im off to play bear wood lakes before the H4H game on the Sunday, so setting off at 6 on Sunday morning.

If we win may have a few in the ship and mitre afterwards, but not too many. just the 10 or 12.

Nice tickets. I think I'm high up in 202, but can't remember/don't care! In's in.

Or drowning your sorrows ...... :mmm:

I'm in the office Friday - meetings. Might watch a bit on Saturday, playing Sunday morning then heading south for H4H. I rarely watch golf, although the Miracle at Medinah was a bit special. HID watches loads of golf but doesn't play - bizarre!

fly home from edinburgh tomorrow evening for 4 days off. Gonna get a game every day hopefully although not swung a club for weeks so we will see how it goes, also 4 days booze and tv

Sounds good.
I wasn't been funny mate.
Enjoy:D

Should get home about 5.15 on Friday so will only see the last knockings. Got a crap tee time (9.40) on Saturday in the comp so going to miss a large chunk and then depends on how quickly the journey home lets me see the singles after the game at Cuddington. Would prefer watching as much as I can but playing always comes first

After dropping HID of at the airport for her London w/end , i'm dog sitting but free to watch the golf on the telly maybe with a few unsupervised brandies ha ha.

So beware and expect some more silly comments from me over the weekend. C'mon Europe:cheers:
