My main problem during the cold weather is cold hands and feet. Now obviously, layering up the feet is fine but I'm unsure about the best solution for my hands. Mittens are only between shots and I find get in the way so I was considering trying out wearing 2 thermal golf gloves all round. Anyone tried this before?

I really like the winter playing gloves, take the time to find the right fitting pair and you won't look back. Mine are a little small, they must have shrunk so be careful when washing too!

My G.G ones are very warm and mean I can play golf in pretty much any British temperature and wind.

Don't bother in the rain however!

2 pairs of gloves sounds like a dreadful idea. Personally under armour thermals gloves are awesome, and a pair of mittens for waiting around/walking between shots. Usually works ok.

I used a pair of horse riding gloves on cold days last winter.
£6.95 a pair and miles better than any golf equivalent.
They gave good grip and I tended to play well when I used them.

I don't plan on wearing 2 pairs, just 2 gloves instead of the usual one. I think I'm going to give it a go as I'd rather sacrifice a bit of feel by wearing gloves than having no feel when my fingers freeze.

Footjoy winter ones for us last year but then we were bought Masters Insul-8 ones for Christmas. HID found these warmer. Mine were too small! I wear thermal fingerless gloves until I'm ready to get my golf gloves on and that helped keep my hands warm as they were already warm when I put my gloves on. I've now got macwets though.

I use the UA ones as well - very warm and good grip - almost as good as your normal glove in my opinion.
