Any goalkeeper specific coaches, soccer coaches or team parent helpers here?

Think that may have to come into it eventually. Shame as the rest of the players are keen as mustard.
It is a shame, but only for the bad kids, he's lost 2 in 3 years, most buck up and accept the boundaries.

another tactic I heard of was to get a big bag of haribo or mini mars and giv eall those who listen and do as told a treat at the end, those who mess around go home without and soon learn.

A couple of the distruptive kids are some of the better players of the team, maybe previous sessions have been too basic for them? We've tried spliting them ability wise and it didn't make much difference, will try a couple of things tomorrow night and see how we get on.

Was thinking of introducing a yellow/red card type system - get a yellow it's a warning, red you sit out for 5 minutes. Carry on getting yellows/reds throughout the session you start as sub/miss the game.

There Under 12's. For some (like my son) it's like training 7/8/9 year olds ability wise - they still need to learn basic control, passing, shooting, positional play, simple pass and move but they are willing to learn and it's not all about winning which is good.

getting to under 12's I would imagine some of the other teams are getting quite competitive. Foundation stage 5-11 is so key to there overall development they need to learn more ball mastery earlier and then positional play will come.
Sounds like you've got your work cut out good luck and hope they all relish the challenge and start behaving for you.

One thing to note at this age if your sitting them out of the play make sure they keep moving as they are at an age where they are starting to need a proper warm up.

Thankfully they've put in the lowest division. They lost 6-2 at the weekend but played really well 1st half but came out and conceded 4 in the 2nd half and ended up getting really out played. Yes the competitiveness is coming out already in the friendly games they've played.

All they want to do is shooting and tricks lol, some can't control the ball but can do lollipops all day long!!! It's obvious that some have just started out but want to be the main player etc. Just need to put the effort in.

See how it goes, my sons not that happy/bothered so we'll see!
