Another glowing report - GoKart electric trolley.

I word of warning. Not just with GoKarts, but all 'leccy trollies.

Parked mine up outside the 19th at the weekend. Had some lunch etc. Went back to get my GoKart, and boy what a smell!

The 'on' switch had been knocked on by someone and the cart couldn't move because it was 'driving' into a wall. Result was one very hot and smelly motor. Luckily it was set to a slow speed.

Initially it would only drive very slowly, but the speed picked up as it cooled down. I don't know if any permanent damage has been done to the battery or the motor. I guess only time will tell.

This is not a warrenty issue or even a 'their customer service is good because the products are rubbish' post.

I had a pm from Sandy at GoKart, explaining that her 'techies' had been shown my earlier post, and they would like the GoKart back to take a look at the motor. Just to check that it's all okay. Oh, and I've been offered a loaner whilst mine is away.

Pretty good I thought.

It's nice to see that Sandy actively goes looking for problems and will do all she can to put them right. Most companies (including the one I work for) will do all they can to avoid such things and will only get involved when pushed.
If there is a fault, you will get it rectified.
;)
