Played up at my track tonight.
A marked improvement in my game.
Some of you may remember I was struggling with hitting the ball cleanly. Constant fat and thin shots were making me lose confidence rapidly.

Had a good practise tonight and have changed my swing!

I'm now conscious of maintaing a good spine angle on my swing. Result being much cleaner shots off the fairway. I think I was suffering with my hips sliding to the right on the backswing which ultimately leaves me out of position on my downswing, hence the thin shots. Does that sound about right?

Came home much happier tonight. :D

Certainly don't want to slide, it leaves you stranded with the weight on the wrong foot. Difficult to get back into position, and leads to inconsistency.

Sliding caused me to thin alot of shots.

To stop sliding, I just slowed down my back swing and turned the hands over early, this helps me to maintain a good spine position and rotate fully!

The improvement I have made in the last few weeks is unreal, my distance has improved and im not scared of the long irons. If anything, I know enjoy the long irons more than the short!
