An ACE day at the course today

Just quick post to say, i teed off today around 3pm in my club comp ( bogey )
1st -- Bogey
2nd -- Par
3rd hole, par 3 , 171yds , a sweetly struck 6 iron, 1 bounce, and IN THE HOLE

My 1st EVER HOLE IN ONE ......... !!!

Just felt bit numb, big shouts and handshakes off my playing partners, and when I got to hole, a young junior Clapping as hed watched from short practice ground, inbetween 1 and 2

Kept concentration going till 6th hole, still level par, +1 bogey score, then stupidly enough just wanted to go off, strange I know, but couldnt really get going, its as if it happened too early in round, and everything else was never going to match up.

Anyway played full round, had birdie 2 on par 3, 13th hole too ( other highlight ) , but finished round -1

Anyway , tradition dictates I buy a bottle from bar, which I will do after sunday mornings round, when place will be busy, for all to sup, as the bar was pretty empty tonight after my round

Possible Bonus, club captain comes over, tells me, hole is sponsored by Hilton Hotel group, supposedly part of deal was, Hole in One on their hole, Champagne Dinner for 2 at Hilton Hotel, hopefully hes not winding me up, ha

Funnily enough my 14 year old nephew, ( 10 H/Cap ) had an ACE just a few weeks ago too, and I was at their house this morning for a coffee.........

Im gona go back next week again, eh, then afterwards go buy some lottery tickets, they say it comes in 3s....

Followed up today, with a Nett 67 , even started with a 3 putt Bogey at 1st
And had another 2 at 13th again, Happy days

All OK again now in the golfing world, even though couple of weeks ago was going to take a small break, such was my mood, due to poor putting and poor greens.........cant knock them now

Yes there is a 2s sweep pot
At my OLD club, an ACE took 50% of whatever the pot was, £1 entry, 100 entries, guaranteed £50 on your account in pro shop, then the 2s would divide up what was left

Ive just found out, at my club Im playing now, an ACE is the equivalent of 2 x 2s.............!!!
Wont cover my drinks with that, ha

Congrats on your ACE too bladeplayer , my mate in my group today finished about 6 inches off the hole (diff hole to mine) at the long par 3 , 5th hole , after 1st bounce , we were thinking, here we go again......
