One of my mates was going on golf holiday to Saunton, and on the way stopped off to play at Oake Manor near Taunton. To put it politely he is a proud loud Yorkshireman, and not afraid to express an opinion. He is for ever changing clubs especially his driver, and is always on the look out for one that goes further.
The latest club on his radar was a 'Geek' driver, which he advised us has been used to win some long driving comps. Must admit i had never heard of one.
On entering the pro shop at Oake Manor, he loudly proceeds to tell the pro the virtues of the Geek driver and asks if he has one he could try. As quick as a flash the pro tells him no, but that he does have a set of gullible irons that might suit him.
This was met with silence for a few seconds before everyone cracked up, and my mate was left silent for one of the first times in his life.
To be fair to him,he is now always the first to tell the tale.
