Looking to buy a new gap wedge for my i15's. Ping have just brought one out and I shopped around on the internet for the best price. Lowest quote I got was £64.99 plus delivery. Not bad.
Just out of curiosity phoned Mike Andrews the pro at Highwoods. Asked him if he could get me one and how much it would be. Gave him no indication of the best price I had been offered, and he didn't ask.
He phoned me back.....£62.50 and it will be here on Friday.

Trouble is the Junk doesn't leave Vietnam until Friday.
Can you wait till July?

I had the same thing from my local pro regarding a G15 U wedge - £72.50 compared to £79.99 or higher at the time.

Order in Tuesday morning and picked up in time for the Saturday comp :-)

It is always worth asking your local pro as unless the they are being sold online for less than the wholesale price plus VAT he should be able to beat the price, as a retailer I would rather make £15 on something than miss the sale, its just a question of wether or not your pro sees it as worth his while.
