Hi forum.I had a really great round today at Alyth, where despite heavy rain for half my round I managed to score 18 over par, which is one off my previous best score(17 over at Monifieth).I managed 4 pars and I even got a round of applause from some older gents after making a 30ft putt on the second hole! This is my first round in 7 weeks due to my chest injury and it bodes well for the future.I hit a bucket of balls on the practice range before my round, and I was having no joy with woods or driver,so I only hit 3 hybrid and 4 iron off the tee and look what happened! I think a lesson in the long clubs is the next step,I am soooo chuffed! Few holes hold any fear for me now,I am pumped up for my next round.

well done deke,

how are things going with the t2hole training aid? I'm getting on a little better with the Yes putter but still not on a par with my Connemara putter, although she is a very nice looking putter

I am getting some good results with it,my normal shot is now a draw, and I can occasionally hit a fade too!

What made this achievement worse however,is that I had arranged to play with a member to hand in a card for handicap, but he cancelled due to the weather! :-(

Well done Deke.

Had 3 really consistent games in a row myself. What I am striving for consistency.Shot a 94 today at a different course to mine.Well pleased.

Thanks Satty,I am also trying for consistency when I play,it is the most important thing eh? Glad to hear you have had 3 good uns in a row!

Well done mate good shooting , we had a couple of small showers at Kirriemuir but nothing to bad course and greens were in great condition.

Cheers bud,Alyth was holding up nicely in the rain and so was my putting! I made some belters from off the green with my new Yes Callie,I feel the Odyssey might be retiring!
