Great two and a half days photographing the Dunhill - cracking courses, decent players and a worthy winner - Danny Willett is a good guy and his amateur partner Jimmy Dunne was fantastic entertainment at times - google him to see his story - most down to earth multi millionaire I’ve ever seen.

How do the amateurs get to play in this?

Is it by invitation as they are judged to be suitably famous or do they pay through the nose to get a spot?

It used to be around £10k to play in it 15 years ago (unless you're suitably famous/an influencer/Ronan Keating)

Think the cost was close to £20k a few years ago to play in it, expect that figure has gone up since too

Someone at the first tee on Saturday was saying it was £35k but most of it goes to charity. Not sure how much the celebrities pay.
