Player A is playing in senior scratch cup player b is in junior scratch cup , but playing togethet, 2 seperate comps running side by side
A player must not give advice to any1 in the competition playin the course

As these are 2 different comps would it be a penalty to give or recieve advice to or from each other? Thank u

Both playing all be it different comps so no advice must be given.

Ask anyone for advice other than the players caddy suggest that no advice should be given even if players aren’t in the same comp.

What if you are playing with someone who just can’t keep his mouth shut.
Even when you have asked him to refrain.?
Seems unfair to punish a player in this situation.
Do you only need to ask him once to cover yourself.

Common sense says that although technically they are not playing in the same comp, they should still adhere to all the rules as if they are surely?

Very true but as im often told u can think whatever , but, u need to read exact wording of rule.. that said "the competition ". As its 2 diff comps and i wasnt sure , so i asked .

Obviously you need to tell them not to say things that would constitute advice but if they keep doing it you need to either keep telling them or walk away. Smacks of gamesmanship intended to put you off your game.

Can a spectator point out to a player that he is about to break a rule?

I understand that information about rules is not advice but this situation cropped up last night in a sudden death playoff for our Club Championships. The potential transgression was dealt with by a Committee Member who was acting as referee but one of the spectators mentioned that he had realised a rule ws about to be broken but didn't know if he could/should say anything.

Tell me if I dream of playing golf but I had a knee injury, can I learn to play well?

Does a knee injury hurt in a dream.?

Seriously I had a dislocation and ACL rupture years ago.
I was told my football days were over.
So after my rehab I took up golf. Got down very low cap.
My mate an ex pro footballer had his replaced and lost four shots on his cap.
Golf is a game of control ,so knee injury should not stop you as long as you have no long term problems.
Get a bike it’s the best thing for knees imo
But ask your doctor first.

There is hardly any part of my body that does not hurt at some time (multiple fractures, ligament and muscle tears) but I still carry on playing.
