Wow. The fact that people actually go that far not to loose a castle tee baffles me. They're about 3 quid per hundred on the bay. LOL

It's not the money. It's the time.
After you tee off, do you look for your tee peg?
If you can't find it immediately, do you just walk away?
I know plenty of people who will spend 30 secs looking for a tee peg - why?
I tie string to mine and never have to spend any time at all finding them.
There's method in what you perceive to be madness.

I find if you sprint to the tee in front of you partners, you can often find tees left by the previous group. Obviously you will have to take pot luck with colour. Any castle tees I find are tossed away, as they have no place on the golf course.

I love a castle tee. Great for getting into arguments with golfing morons.

Great thread Gordon. Well, maybe not great but certainly better than most of the posts on here!

Admittedly not my best ever thread but sometimes it helps to lighten the mood on here with a bit of silliness

Tie your tee to your shoe with a bit of string. Or put some bright yellow leccy tape round it.

Facing forwards, backwards, or sideways? Decisions like these are important, and could lead to slow play.

I believe historic tee position is the front facing towards the fairway but you could mix it up and have 6 holes of each position ?

What is odd, is that the body has no head. If the ball is supposed to be its head, it's way out of proportion. As it is, it objectifies bodies, which is wrong, and puts a measure on below the neck perfection which should not be promoted. There should be a head, ideally with a hat, that holds the ball. That would look less odd. The headless look will never catch on in golf I feel.

I might be over thinking this though.

I use red ones off the 'T' which can be a real bugger when that red on green phenomenon kicks in, sometimes you'll be staring rite at it and still not see it, something to do with different ends of the colour spectrum or something like that...

I'm going to experiment with no tees over the winter.

Saving for Disney and nend to make significant cuts in my golf expenditure. This seems like a high yield cut.

Plus, if I can give them up, going down to 2 meals a day should help me lose a bit of weight too
