The only accounts to get deleted are those which are predominantly spam. Everything else gets blackballed or disabled.

whats to care about? My only wish is that when a forumers says they are leaving and not posting again is that they stick to it, rather than sneak back a week later

And in answer to Fish's question, no the OP has never has a run in with the mods, the request has come from the op himself, in fact I tried to talk him out of it.
