I have a Taylormade putter at home I don't use much, mainly because I prefer the heavier feel of my Odyssey 2-ball.
I'm contemplating adding a few lead strips to it to see how it fares, where do you think is the best placement for them?
On top, bottom, near the front or back?

Interested to read if anyone has successfully adjusted the weight of a putter and how they achieved it.

Where to put tape dependson the type of putter it is IMO.
If it's a blade style (Ping Anser-esque) then on the back behind the face would be my bet.
For a small mallet I would put it on the largest flat surface at the back.

I wouldn't put it on the sole as it might catch the turf as you swing it and cause all sorts of problems.

Depends on the design of the putter really.

I changed the weight of my TM spider the day after buying it, as it has weight ports it was a very simple job to do.

I've changed the weight of my old 2 ball by adding weight inside the cavity and down the shaft too, both gave good improvements for me. Adding weight to a blade is more difficult though, and ultimately depends on if you care about seeing the weight during the stroke etc.

try adding it to the ball, then you can compare the 2 putters, simples :thup:
