Anybody ever played or hit these? Our club pro has a set in the shop for £300 and I'm very tempted. Reviews online are pretty thin on the ground so figured I'd ask you good people.

My current irons are AP2 710s. How do the heads compare in terms of size, top line etc.?

(Clearly I could check this myself but I only noticed them as I left the shop in a hurry last Saturday and I'm now away for the week, so can't nip in to do a comparison.)

I still use my 710 AP2s I have tried Adams CB3s and a couple of others Not the XTD though. I cant say in all honesty that I have found better I always go back to my AP2s.

My brother in law plays them and he loves them, I've hit them a few times and did like them. I believe they come with the c -taper shaft as standard. He hits the ball very high with them, not that that's a bad thing.

Looks wise at address they look quite a small head, again this isn't a bad thing. Overall I would say they look really nice.

Those are nice but it's the more recent ones I'm interested in.

Those, the Forged, are the more recent ones.

The Tour ones to which you refer are a cast head and a variation on the standard XTD game improvement irons.

I happen to know this as, after research, I recently bought a set of the Forged in preference to the Tour.

European Golf Online have the Tour on sale for less than £300.

Excellent, thanks very much for the info.
