Adams XTD TI Driver

Ive liked the look of the last few Drivers Adams have had out, even a white one. the trouble is they only ever offer one shaft option, or did anyway. first one i tried had a Prolaunch blue a a high launching shaft that just went way to high for me. when i asked about upgrading to a prolaunch red i was told the head was designed for the shaft that it cam with:( Last year they had the speed line out looked good, tried one but only came availble with a Kura Kage shaft which went high and right to put it mildly. no other shaft options and the same story.

shame.

Why dont you just buy a head then get a shaft you want, I have a fast 12 whats cheap enough and near on new 9.5 degs, I'll kerp the shaft as I quite like it.

Because why would you spend £200 + on a driver you didn't get on with and been told the head is designed to be used with that shaft. to have to buy another shaft that might not fit with the what the head is designed to do>>> that's why

Any pointers to a shaft that could generate a tad more launch, I like playing with shafts...golf shafts that is..lol...had a bimatrix and a YSQ in the g25 which went well but still looking for the Holy Grail.

Advice further up re: White Tie could be a good starting point.

Another, and probably better, option would be going to a shop with Taylormade cart and launch monitor… try them all out!!

I cant wait to get it out on the course, just need weather to get better and hopefully my thumb will have knitted together as it split open again whilst hitting the XTD, my nice white FJ glove has a funny shade of red in the thumb

Well...had the driver out today and all I can say is...wow....what a weapon, launch is better than I thought and quite easy to shape shots with too, nice soft springy feel to it too.

That's just total Twaddle (by Adams)!

As believable as Cleveland (UK!)'s 'We want to monitor the shafts, so aren't selling adapters'!

I would normally have credited both companies with far better approaches to Customer Service than that!

Adams are (were) normally really good at providing 'real deal' shafts either as standard (presumably like this one) or as no-cost custom 'upgrade' to cover a range of desired launch/spin - even if only to cover Hi, Mid and Low. Absolutely pointless, imo, doing all the QC to ensure everything about the head is to spec, then limiting customers to a single shaft - which may not be appropriate to them!
