Anyone watched? Just wondering why he's so poor this week?

Is it trouble off the tee or is he mince on the green (with a regular sized putter)

I know pros cant/wont perform every week but he's second bottom 21 shots back!

He's stopped using the ling putter? That might well explain it...lose confidence on the green - playing push and catch-up golf elsewhere.

I know he's a great guy and a great golfer, but I'm delighted to see the putter rule brought in.
Being able to putt with a normal putter is a major part of the game, if he and other players struggle with that, no hard feelings but it's just tough, all part of the overall picture.

Might be any number of reasons although the switch of putters would perhaps be the biggest change. Maybe just not comfy on the greens and pushing the rest of the game too much

that's what I would expect - and I too am delighted that he has got rid of the long putter. My respect for him as a champion golfer goes up a notch or two as he now has to work hard at attaining his previous heights

I seem to remember years ago that people could use a broomhandle putter, that wasn't anchored, and there weren't quite the same complaints.
My issue has always been with anchoring rather than the length of putter.
Not sure why Scott didn't opt for the 1980's putter! :)

Steve tells us that he changed putter to a 'short' stick two tournaments ago and he didn't do too badly in them but somethings brought out a dose of the double bogies for him this week

I spotted he was in contention right up till the death last week, and was very pleased for him when I spotted the shorter stick.

A great ball striker and seems a decent guy (from interviews) would love to see him replicate previous success but now with a shortie
