Any one had any experience, good or bad ?

Running out of things to try.

Back is fine during normal day to day stuff. I don't get any pain when I play, but my lower back will kill me afterwards for at least a day, usually two. Same if I work on the car for a few hours. And if I'm driving in the car for a couple of hours i'll get really bad shooting pains from my lower back.

I've rested it for a few months. I've been having physio on it for a couple of months now, and it's not really getting any better. Doctor doesn't seem to care as it's not 'serious' and I can do day to day stuff fine.

Read a few good things about acupuncture so considering giving it a try.

If Doctor takes no interest, then try a Chiropractor - but one that gets an X-Ray done first and shows you what is happening!

Original chiropractic philosophy (established when medical knowledge was still emerging) has been (rightly imo) refuted, but the treatment of muscular-skeletal symptoms can be extremely beneficial. There's a certain/considerable amount of cross-over with osteopathy but as long as Chiros stick to treating the symptoms - as opposed to applying the original philosophy to the causes (often simply dodgy posture/seating/driving position/lifting technique) then, imo, it's fine!

I've experienced both chiropractic and osteopathic treatments over the years and the chiro ones have been more beneficial - but maybe that's simply down to the practitioners, who seemed to try pretty similar manipulation.

Back pain and cures/reduction in symptoms are unique to individuals I find. For example I have suffered with for over a decade and mine differs slightly. Day to day - no issues like yourself. Mine comes during golf and disappears after 24 hours.

Hobbit mentions tens machines work for him (good) - done nothing for me. It is such a unique condition. I'm afraid trial and error of all options is the only way to find something that will work for you.

I have muscle problems at the bottom of my back. Had massages on it and the lady who does it also offers acupuncture. I had three sessions. They helped relieve the issue but didn't solve it. Perhaps the sessions needed to be closer together? Try it, no harm, and it may do the job for you.

Had acupuncture on frozen shoulder and improved immediateky

For Lower back, red wine and voltoarol gel for pain relief
For quick treatment, hand upside down (not easy) , or a door or similar, , rest one end on a chair and lie on it with feet at the hugher end, it will stretch your lower back gently
If you use a gym they will probably have a bench that can be raised one end.
You only need 20 degrees ish tilt
A good physio will show you some harsher lower back stretches. Do them 3 or 4 times a day to get max benefit

Anything more complex treatment wise, I’ll not make suggestions as it’s so individual
Good luck

Brings to mind the episode of One Foot In The Grave , where Victor goes for kinky massage sessions on this foot. :ROFLMAO:

Interesting and some intriguing points.

Personally had a dull ache on the right lower back, and tingles on the front of my right leg.
Saw chiropractor, who said left leg was longer than the right and worked on lower back. It did make a big difference but seemed to be patching me up.
I then saw an excellent osteopath who said the arch of my right foot had collapsed, this put strain on my calf and lower back as I was compensating. She massaged my calf and right buttock, (extras included 😀), the sensation sadly wasn't too pleasant. She gave me some exercises to do and the biggest aid was the insoles she told me to get. Bingo, massive difference and the insoles were only £15.
Worth her weight in gold
