After painstaking work over many months, submitting all the cards I could, I'd managed to change my rather stiff handicap from its original 20.0 to 20.5 - to gain a whole extra shot :D :D

Went out on Saturday playing to new handicap for the first time in the qualifier for the President's Prize. Blow me, shot 86 - nett 65 - for 40 points to come out at top of the qualifying list and get myself cut by 1.3. So now playing off 19. In the space of one day, the works of months ruined... (but quite pleased really)

Turned out in the Swindle on Sunday, and the game disappeared completely. To draw a discreet veil over things, lets just say the points tally didn't quite reach 20 - much to the merriment of everyone I'd beaten the day before.

Don't you just love this game

Don't you just hate it when that happens?
Years ago I won Captain's Day with 40 points off 12 handicap.
Next day in the swindle I probably didn't beat your score - everything went on holiday with the winnings!

Good scoring though - It shows that 20's too high!!

I was the same went out on Saturday and struggled to 29 points played on Sunday and breezed 41 points. So far that 5 shots lost in 2 months.
