A to Z E.D.M.

If I’m moving off of 303 posts then this is a fantastic anthem to do so to.

Just that intro and it transports me back to chill out afterparties in 94/95.

Mega tune… Heard it first in the opening scene of Hackers film - a silly film but best contemporary electronic music soundtrack of all time: Orbital, Prodigy, Leftfield, Underworld to name a few.

Have you seen what the anniversary LP release is going for? Insane… Though it does include the theme for the Central station that is co-authored/performed(?) by David Gilmore that wasn’t on the original.
Yeah, it has jumped recently but it was quite hefty price on release.
Grand Central was credited to “Deep Cover” on the film credits which was indeed David Gilmour accompanying Guy Pratt. At the time, Pratt was married to Gala Wright (daughter of Richard Wright of Pink Floyd) and he was an established touring member of the Floyd.

Story goes that they wanted to keep Gilmour’s involvement secret, hence the name Deep Cover, and so it wasn’t licenced to the OST when it was released. By the time the LP was released the urban legend had been proven. Although it wasn’t hard to recognise the use of the “Gilmour bend” in Grand Central. Great track though.

Grand Central playing and the weird sound when Garbage file is opened with all the equation graphics is both brilliant and bonkers at the same time.

How have I not seen this thread before. I love pretty much anything EDM, Trance, Old Skool House etc!

Always said to Mrs M my funeral music needs to be the Feery Corsten remix of William Orbits Barbers Adagio for Strings.

That being said saw a really good video recently of Sarah McLachlan sing the Lyrics to Silence with a full Orchestra, was every bit as good as the Tiesto original but gave a different vibe and chills .

I was thinking more Art of Fighters - Goodbye for my funeral song. Unbelievably the Mrs is vetoing it!
