A to Z E.D.M.

From north of the border.

Someone could probably have convinced me it was 30+ years old 😂

[NB, I didn't find the radio edit, 🤫]

Has a very Tidy Trax vibe to it. Early 2000’s hard house style.

Not my cup of tea but not terrible either. Seems a lot are pushing this style just now.

As an example, Charlotte de Witte is normally very much acid techno, stuff like Return To Nowhere, real minimalist techno. But now…

Probably slightly in to the tek-trance bracket.

I’m liking the stuff from Thomas Schumacher and his style just now.

You might also like Extrawelt if you haven’t heard them before, especially on a good sound system(loud) or good headphones - the production is top quality.

So he’s going to have a PhD in Rave History? 😂😂😂
Yeah, do it for a documentary or a book or something!

Growing up in a bit of a 'backwater', SoR as mentioned were an influence on the local 'scene', especially in the 80s. We had bootlegged, copied x 1000 cassettes of their stuff.
An excuse to link one of their slightly later tracks

I feel really lucky to have grown up in central Scotland where the scene was massive (yet still underground) and had several "super clubs" in a reasonable distance (Metro, Fubar, Nosebleed, Studio24, Hangar 13 etc).

Also feel really lucky to have travelled to Holland on several occasions for the big events.
