He's not wrong. When I look back, some of the best nights of my life were at raves with 8-10 thousand likeminded people, there for the joy of the dance. No trouble, no aggro just people all there unified by their love of hardcore. I will never have those experiences repeated in my lifetime.Saw Moby last night... was amazing... Here is him reminiscing about the UK rave scene and then kicking off...
It was a special time indeed, discovering new music, enjoying it with other people on a big sound system. Personally, I preferred the small club atmosphere than a big rave, either way the energy was amazing. He's not wrong. We will never see anything like it again. And I say this having been to several "raves" (or versions of attempts at raves) over the past 10 years. And do you know why? Cameras, phones and social media. My experience of these events what that no one was there "in the moment", it was all about what can I record and upload to my "followers". It lacked spontaneity that events in the 90's had.
That probably makes me sound like a grumpy old git and so be it, but I went to these recent events in the hope that the spirit had survived with the music.
It’s a fun track but he believes it’s a new genre - “dancefloor dnb”Kinda basic but I liked it
