Can some one enlighten me as to what the point of these new "mini" woods are I've starting seeing?
thanks
thanks
Thanks Dan,
l'm still confused though, if they're mini surely they have a smaller sweet spot and so will be more difficult to hit?
The sweet spot for hitting a golf ball is exactly the same size whether the club face is the size of a dustbin lid or a jaffa cake
So in theory the larger the club face the more margin for error (poor shot) before a complete miss
thanks Slab
out of interest why are GI irons generally larger than Players irons in that respect?

Forgiveness.
The sweet spot is the same size, but the areas around the sweetspot are sweeter on a bigger club than a small club so in theory off centre hits should be less damaging, is my understanding.
A different response....Thanks Dan,

Depends on you but there's one he'll of a gap between a driver and a 4 iron form most people!Interesting...
so I've just gone from a 1-sw to a 4-pw and I'm looking for something to bridge the gap between the driver and the 4 iron (probably try and find a 3i but looking for something to replace the 1&2 iron. Could this be a possible filler?
I still have my 1970s driver - and there's no comparison!I guess all this means they're a 1970's Driver
