'Mini' Hybrid

I still have, and use, several Adams hybrids - the "Idea Pro Tour Prototype" models.
My 11 handicap mate still uses an Adams Speedline Fast 12 five wood - I used to have myself way back in the day, he hit mine, liked it and bought the same one for himself. I've long since got rid of mine but he still has his 7 odd years later.

I had a number of the adams A12 pro hybrids over the years.

Had a real thing for them and sought out every loft I could get in them. Really regret moving them on. Think my nephew still has one of them.

Brilliant head shape and so solid.

There used to be loads on ebay. If you keep an eye out you could probably pick up a bargain.

Just ordered the Adams red 2015 from GC4C (just getting the head sent out though)
23 degree version so I can use it out of first cut and it'll double up as a rock club off bare and gravel lies

Thanks for the suggestions

Got it yesterday (relies arrived) and got new KBS 70g shaft fitted today, so will try it on range tomorrow before hitting the course on Sunday🤞

Is it one of the ones with the “speed slot” and the red weights ?

Small head but felt like impossible to not hit it sweet

Yup that's the chappy,so the speed slots can't be seen at address unlike the earlier model, red weight could do with a touch up of paint but otherwise its in good condition and now the shaft and grip are brand new. I went a smidge lighter from the stock shaft
I'll find out tomorrow if it's easy to hit...

Have you used/hit it? How did you find it? (I realise your swing speed will be well up on mine)

I had one for a year ( 23 degree ) and it was good but the shaft wasn’t right and I couldn’t get a stiff one for it - when it hit it was a rocket

At address it’s very tidy but gives confidence

Well that worked rather well

Hit 50 balls with it this morning before work. Higher ball flight/more airtime than my 4I but with a softer landing, for a similar overall distance. I can imagine several holes where it'll come in handy. I reckon I can eek a few more yards from it as I get more used to hitting it
Also hit some off a low tee to see if it might work on par 3's too and found it pretty much unmissable, so that was a nice surprise

Just have to leak a few drives into the first cut this weekend to see if it does well for its primary function now...
