A good buy

I was in a local pro shop yesterday just mooching around and they had a Galvin Green windbreaker half zip top reduced to £75, in black and my size. I offered £65 which they accepted and in the cold, strong wind, down here in the south eaat today it was FABULOUS!

What have you bought recently, off the cuff, that you have been pleased that you got?

I've not bought anything off the cuff recently but did design some snzzy myjoys a few months back in red white and blue and grey and plum which I'm enjoying breaking in

I might have a look online and see what jumpers are around as it was pretty nippy in the breeze this afternoon

I bought a Double Decker the other week in the pro shop, I've not eaten a double decker since I was at school (which was not yesterday!) and boy did I enjoy it sitting on the bench at the 12th!

Recently picked up a used Vokey 52 degree wedge in really good nick from local AG for 20 quid (went in to look at some trousers).

Many, many years ago I bought a pair of Dexter Tom Watson golf shoes from a department store in London during the sales. My first really nice golf shoes (classic brogue, leather soles and linings). Cost £50, really comfy and lasted years. In fact I've still got them, but compared to my current aqualites they weigh a ton! Always ranked them as my best impulse buy.

I remember Dexter golf shoes. I had a black patent pair with leather soles which lasted for years. They were top quality. Whatever happened to them as a manufacturer?

As you say HJS Dexter were tops, I never owned any though

Glad some others remember Dexter shoes. I just googled them and it looks like they're into bowling (ten pin variety) and don't do golf shoes any more.
