At the range today & there seemed to be a lot of beginners up today, the Masters effect :), but it was really funny, during a break I saw this man approach a teenage girl who was in the next bay with her friend bombing balls up the range. I heard him say would it be possible if my son could watch your swing as its really good & his son was struggling & was around the same age as her, the girl said no problem, now the dad came back with said son & he stopped dead as his dad stopped at the girls bay, he shouted I'm not getting help from a GIRL, burst into tears & ran off, red faced dad, girls friend wetting herself with laughter, dad said sorry & quickly left, had to have a smile at this lads bruised ego

I went down the range with some of the guys from work last Wednesday, another bloke and a girl.

Of course I was showing off, the other guy doesnt have a handicap and can just about hit a ball and I was doing things like drivers off the deck and hitting a SW off the tee longer than his drives (by blading it on purpose), backspinning wedges etc.

I then said I will hammer a ball down the range and hit the fence at the bottom with my driver... Smashed the hell out of the ball so much it a huge bit broke off and it went about 20 yards in a weird looping shot.

Shame the kid didn't look and learn. A lot of lady golfers especially good youngsters have a sublime rhythmn. We had the county u18's at our place last year for a practice and they were hitting it further than a lot of the men with minimal effort.

I agree, womens golf at a high level is comparable to most amature men. I really want to go see the 2015 solhiem cup at Forest Pines

How were you spinning wedges at the range?

That young lad will hopefully look one day and think of that as a missed opportunity!

I've been and watched the British Women's Open twice and learned much more about how I should be swinging the club there than from watching the men's game on TV!

Was she hot????

(Maybe I should have asked, was she legal to look at, teenage can be a minefield!)
