A bit of a strange thing yesterday

I played in a mixed open at Sand Moor, the 2 guys were off 3 & 10, the other girl was off 17. We all played pretty well and we finished 3rd.
The strange thing was that on the four par 3s between the 4 of us we only put one tee shot on a green, none were particularly long and the guys were playing of the yellows. Just seemed strange to me.
