I started out with the RIP and found it to be quite unforgiving when not swinging at my A game. Try a few other shafts out loads out there I did and bough a Ilima which is much better all round when swinging good or bad.

I would give it a go definitely, helps to get the ball airbourne easily. It is quite a high launching shaft though so if you hit a high ball anyway it may not be the one.
