just got back from 18 holes at south beds golf club, shot a 95 on the 9 hole course (did 2 loops obviously ;) )

Par was 64 and I scored a total of 33 Stableford points (whatever that means, golfshot on iphone worked that out)

mostly double bogeys but par on 1st 157yd par 3 and last 400yd par4 and a a few very good irons in from 80-150yds means I am extremely pleased overall.

still got a slice and with the wind today it meant a fair few wayward tee shots.

averaged 2.2 putts with 40 total, not great but again an improvement

want to go and play another 18 now haha (shame my feet say NO)

big thanks to Medwayjon for the titleist irons I got off him, they are blinding :D

good stuff mate well played , shoot a couple of 95's or so then aim to break 90 , then 85 80 & so on .. love your attitude to it .. keep up the good work

cheers, I am unlucky though as 1st time out windy as hell, 2nd was raining cats and dogs on back 9 and today blew a good un aswell.

I will indeed be looking for sub 90, 80 etc etc, early days yet tho, dont want to get too far ahead of myself :)

I'm a member at South Beds and played the main coarse this morning. Difficult conditions with the wind being so strong.

I don't play the 9 hole very much but when I do, I'm quite please to play to my handicap. It's not as easy as it looks and the greens are very tricky.

33 points on there is good going on a windy day and the 9th is always a good par to get.

Well done Gibbo!

For the benefit of all the members here, can you give prior warning of the dates you intend to play so that we don't get lumbered with your weather!

Chris

yeah I was playing 2 clubs longer for approach shots, it was gusting a lot on some holes.

its a great little coarse for a beginner like me to cut their teeth on. Might brave a longer one once the driver/woods are more consistant.

will do Chris ;)
