Three over the tenth hole at Pyle and Kenfig today i played the back nine first, then played the next 17 1 over....... how gutted am i i never warmed up before playing lol... tugged my drive on ten OB... t**t..
+3 on the 1st.... aarrghhhh

I can easily be +3 on our first (par 3) even with warming up. Sadly it doesn't usually get much better.

Our 10th is SI 1 too...lol wouldn of been so bad if it werent for a big over the top tug into the land unknown haha...

Cheers, it worked out on 41pts its the first time iv had over 40 in 3 years playing after a 5 year break from golf, hopefully it will stay a while as the comps start soon lol

Who is to say that if you had birdied the first your would not have suffered from a little overconfidence and shot the next 17 holes in +7 gross and returned the same score?
You play each hole at a time remember and it just happens the 18 you string together at that particular time make up that score.

Don't knock it - +4 is only a bad day if you're off 3 or less!
As ScienceBoy says, in Medal, it's what you end up with after the 18th that matters - how you get to that number holds little relevence.
What it does show is good mental strength - to come back from a triple to only drop 1 more shot to par over the next 17 takes some doing.
