Well iv gone a done it again but this time i think i did good.....Iv yet to settle on a driver i feel confident with and trolling through the 2nd hand bin in the local shop i came across a Titleist 909D3....Now i know that this is supposed to be for the more accomplished played but even in the shop it looked right to me.....

Well the first impressions lasted as i put it head to head against my Ping i15 and my Mizuno MX 500.....
I brought it out on the course so i could get an honest assessment of it and i wasnt disappointed....I hear a lot of hype about Titleist and never really gave them a thought as quite frankly they were a bit on the pricey side for me.....

But this thing was too hard to pass up at 100 euro and add to that it looks like it was hardly ever hit....It has a stiff Voodoo shaft also....
All i can say is that this thing has straightened me out no end....I was still cutting across both the other clubs but the 909 was just a joy to hit....It seemed like i didnt even have to force it....The head feels nice and heavy also......

I suppose thats its quite possible that the shaft suits me and that even though its a 9.5 head i get a nice flight also....

All in all a happy bunny.....So i went back into the shop and bought that and while i was there traded the Ping against a Titlest 910 3 wood that was 2nd hand and on sale for 125 euro....I got 90 bucks for the ping so i bagged the 3 wood for 30 quid.....I think i did well.....I havent hit the 3 wood yet but the shaft i think is a regular diamana....Not sure what these are like!

The 910 you will be able to swap the shafts so welcome to a whole new world of tinkering :whoo:

Pretty good prices. Enjoy!!!

Cheers Chris......I had a few quid to spare just in case i came across a wedge i liked but the prices on these things and their condition i just couldnt pass on.....
If the few drives iv hit with the 909 are anything to go by then it'll make my whole year just to be able to hit it straight....
The other side to this is that iv been pretty much watching Freddie Couples swing a club for the past 3 weeks and iv been trying to mimic his rhythm and it seems to be paying off.....Iv been trying to swing my driver the same as him and also the way he swings his wedges.....Its just a lazy relaxed swing.....But iv been hitting the ball great with it....Im staying in my posture more and it even feels much better striking the ball....
