We decided at the last minute to try another local course today, I had a 2Fore1 voucher that needed using but when we turned up and asked if they accepted them thay said yes and the discount was £3 each, down to £15 from £18  Aren't they supposed to get 2 people on for the price of 1?

We never fussed, it wasn't out usual course, there was a society group which he squeezed us in front of and we had a good knock for £15 each but it has been bugging me about this since I got back. Have I been diddled?

Your supposed to get the 'day rate' which is dearer than a 'single visitor game'.....but still seems like you been done.

We played Whickham last week for £11.50 each (£46 FOR 4 BALL) on the Green Free 2 for 1 vouchers....the course was in great nick and the best greens ive played alongside Blyth this year locally.

Couldn't agree with you more. Have tried using my Ticket that I got in my GM magazine but not been impressed. Have tried 3 courses in Cornwall & all 3 were silly money. Truro GC - £20 EACH as opposed to £25 EACH. Perranporth GC - £27 EACH as opposed £36. Carlyon Bay GC - £54 for 2.

Ah ok, day rate is £30 so that's right then, I didn't realise that's the case. It took 4hrs to get round 18 today and was boiling, I couldn't have played another hole if I wanted to.

Next time ask as I got done at flaxby a couple of years ago. Some charge a round rate but most charge day rate then it's 2 4 1.

£27 for Perranporth is an absolute steal. I understand thats not the point of the thread, but your still saving £12 on one of the best courses in the country (easily in the top 5 most fun courses)

I've never played the course but Perranporth is a lovely little place, great beach ;)
