I played a virtual round the other day with a good mate of mine after he just finished his lesson and he was smashing his 6 iron 220 yards dead straight .... Wtf I couldn't believe it and it was ball after ball after ball. While I was just hitting my usual 160yards ;(

I didn't think it was even possible.

Where was he doing this....at the range or on the course?

Watch this and listen how far he hits his clubs.

I think the simulator (I assume on a simulator as it was virtual?) was being more than generous.

I can't say its a one off as iv seen the same guy hit the 250yard fence at the range with my old 7 wood, his a big lad (6ft4) if he can learn to hit the big stick then they better get a new fence :)

I had 235 into our 13th the other day and pitched a 4 iron about 10ft from the pin :) So I carried my 4 iron 235 on quite a cold day, doesnt mean I can normally lol. Was it downhill? Yep, was it downwind? Yep, did I go hard at it? Yep

Large distance claims can be true, but they are almost always not "normal" conditions or regular occurences

Virtual round is normally one or some form of simulator. Justone carried a 6iron 220 on ours the other day, but I know for a fact he couldn't do it on the course lol

I had an instance at the start of this year where I hit my 9 iron almost 220 yards. Thin would be an understatement !!
I regained the feeling in my fingers about 4 days later ;)
