204 mph drive... amazing!!

i saw this video the other day of a guy hitting a ball 204 mph, am not fully convinced this can be ture, yeah it all looks real and that but it took him 3 trys and the differance between his 1st try and his 3rd try is alot more of speed/power to ask for considering on your 1st go you would of already been trying to nail it..?

what do you think guys?

i clicked on the link mate but couldnt see it, got a great lesson on grip though which I've taken on board. I was holding it wrong according to the pro so will try it out. :)
 
yeah i have taken that grip on aswell, good tip, i have dug out an old glove to try it with lol and as for the 1st post is a website... i find hitting a ball at 204 mph ******* good enough to be a 1st post plus that link just helped someone (maybe) correct there grip......

I'm all for guys coming on here with a blog or even a website but at least make an effort to engage with the forum before flogging your wares or posting your links. It smack of bad manners to me and in most cases these guys are only after hits for their site and not fussed on joining in. It's hardly the most enticing site anyway so you're not missing much if you've not seen it
 
guys you have got me all wrong theres nothing dodgey about that site and i have 'joined in' on other posts, i just find a 204 mph driver ******** good and yes i didnt have to post the link to the video but that way you can watch it and have a proper opinion about it other then taking my word for it...
 
Is this the vid where the guy hits it through 2 sheets of glass? (100mph required to break each sheet, or something like that?) It's on Youtube somewhere.

I'm sure I hit it harder than that but I wasn't available that day..... :)
 
The guy in the video was doing an advert, much higher numbers have been achieved on Trackman (Basically the benchmark measuring device)

220mph was has been achieved on Trackman by Jesse Petterson

217mph has been achieved by Kari H in Europe on Trackman.

Is this all you post on mate, never seen you post anything other than long drives :D Is this the only interest you have in the game?
 
Nope I post on all sorts, I do happen to follow longdrive a lot so post information on threads where relevant.

I believe that is how forums work? You post or read threads that you are interested in and pass over those that dont?

I dont play a lot of golf nowadays (I read the threads but as I dont really play much I tend to post less, I was once a 3 handicap golfer but as my game is nothing like that now I feel less inclined to post on golf issues)
