Well done to Norris. Knew what he had to do. Would have been nervous on the 1st lap. But settled for 3rd, and stayed ahead nicely of Leclerc

I guess it would have been more comfortable if both McClarens didnt get DQed a few races ago. But at least it made last race interesting. Especially as the track seems garbage

It was great to see Lando win the crown.

Realistically apart from Piastri overtaking him and Leclerc trying early on it was a bit of a processional race for the front 4 with most action in the following pack.

Hamilton did well to move so far up after his poor qualifying, sadly a bit to common occurrence this year.

It looked like Norris let Piastri past him early on, and he pretty much confirmed that after. Defintiely very professional from Norris.

I actually believe the best position for Norris to be in during the race was in third. Had he started in pole, or got past Max early on, then he may have been in first place, but he'd have Max Verstappen fighting on his gearbox. Not a problem if you need to win a race. But going into the last race, and knowing you just need third, it would have been a much worse position to be in, risking a collision with Max just for the sake of being in 1st place during the race. To a similar extent, having Piastri behind you does you no favours. Let him past, and see if he can fight it out with Max in front. As long as you can stay in front of everyone else, job done. I also suspect Piastri would have dropped back at the end if Norris had been running in fourth, although we'll never know.

I was a little surprised that, when Max had a pit stop gap in front of 2nd, he didn't change his tyres, and then look to slow up the cars behind him in the slow sections of the race. It was about the only tactic he could employ to win the championship with about 15 laps to go, assuming Norris wasn't going to break down.

I heard an interview with the top man of Mclaren this morning, he confirmed they had spoken with the drivers leading up to the race and Piastri would drop back allowing Norris to gain a position should it come to it.
