Steve Lewton, of Woburn GC heritage, currently playing well over in Abu Dhabi (so far)

Should make the cut to go into rounds 3 and 4 - it'd be good to have a couple of English lads to root for in the final 2 rounds tomorrow if Laurie Canter can claw his way into that top 20.

For an event that was never going to draw big crowds - the coverage and production is excellent.

I've noticed in the Scramble on PGAT, players are allowed to stand directly behind their team mates when putting.

A note to clubs that it is a completion rule worth adopting.

Played in an Open scramble where one of top teams were DQed as the guy running the comp saw them do that on 18th green. Yet I probably saw half a dozen teams do it all around course when I played.

Kalle Sammoja and Kieran Vincent heading up the leaderboard at the LIV promotions event but the field is tightly packed behind them with a massive opportunity on the line.

This should be quite an enthralling day.

Keep telling yourself, one day you might actually believe it!

There's a chance the won't finish at Leopard Creek today....just over 3 1/2 hours until sunset and theyvebhad to abort the restart after thunder as more has moved in again..
Mauritius next so they may be able to finish on Monday if they can't get back out....

Re next weeks event, saw a couple of pros out on my home course this afternoon getting some casual practice in. Obviously not ones playing kruger, or missed the cut and headed out early

New course for them to play next week, it's only been officially open less than a fortnight!

Nah, the new course is near 90 min drive each way so would need to stay locally and costs too much for a week

If it comes back to us as a venue next year I'll do it again but for this year I've got my comp tickets so I'll go spectate and try to blag my way into vip area 😁

Feel a bit for Canter.
The criticism will no doubt come but the three qualifiers have each won on pro tours so are no mugs.
Wonder if Vincent ends up with his brother 🤔

Just read Vincent has a ball speed of 192mph, expect him to hit some spectacular long drives next year.

My money would be on him joining Scott.

Not sure on the other two. Kozuma - he’d fit perfectly with Hideki if his name was back in the negotiations.

I'm currently watching the old fellows from the Champions Tour carry hybrids and fairways 260 yards. When you've got it, you've got it.

He could do well against the low standard of opposition to him maybe.
While the nobodies and has-beens not playing world class golf on LIV has not come as a shock, that even the top rankers have slipped so badly is surprising. No LIV golfer making the top 30 this year in strokes gained. Koepka, Smith, and Dechambeau the best predictably, as they are all the real deal. But the standard from the rest is pretty abysmal, and I guess why even the top rank can get away with a standard that wouldnt cut it against the best.
