We were thinking of going to Seattle and BC for 3 or 4 weeks September time. Even bought additional ten days holiday for it. Not going to happen.

Holiday to the US planned for September. unless BA cancel the flights, I’ll still be going.

long way to go until then!

We had 3 weeks in Florida booked for next month, I've cancelled the Villas in Orlando and Sanibel and the car hire and received almost all our money back, just waiting for TUI to cancel the flights. They have cancelled everything up to the 12th at the moment, our flight is for the 13th!
Probably look for a week away later in the year in either Dorset or visiting the MIL in West Cumbria. Kids Gutted.

I am over your way tomorrow. Cycling to Hengistbury head for a picnic.

Batten down the hatches, and prepare to repel boarders.

Enjoy, Hengistbury is beautiful, especially up the top, some stunning views. Might be busy tomorrow, car parks all open for the first day!

Hatches being battened.....

Luckily we had our holiday in Feb, Caribbean cruise and a few days in Barbados.

In 4 weeks time I was due to have 11 days in Baku and Rome for the Euros so that's gone down the swanny.

Yes, cycled there a couple of times last year. It's lovely. Going home for the weekend, as it will be mobbed here, despite the car parks remaining closed. Back late Monday, after the weekend rush.

Was supposed to be flying to Spain for two weeks today.:( Have changed flights to end of October, beginning of November, so fingers crossed. Would like to drive to Spain before then, so will be keeping an eye on the ferries.

Lost out on a week in Algarve in April.
Got money back on flights after about 1000 calls to Easyjet.
Owner of apartment agreed to give us the place next April and I booked new flights at less than half the price.

Cancelled apartment in Madeira for July. Flights still booked so waiting to see how that develops with regards cancelling or re-scheduling.

Two golf weekends planned in July & August. No idea if they will go ahead at the moment.

Very frustrating to say the least.

just have to hop on the mudeford ferry for a few mins from here, or about 20 mins by car if staying on land lol

car parks here all reopen tomorrow, was a noticeable increase in camper vans etc round here today when walking the dog too, expect were mobbed from tomorrow and getting worse at the weekend

when this is all over we'll have to meet on the spit below hengistbury head for a jar or two :)

Is anyone considering taking their holidays abroad this year or are you more likely to do something in the UK? I was hoping to go abroad but even if it is permitted I'm not sure that I would want to unless things improve dramatically in the next couple of months which I can't see happening.

My wife should be Flying to Santorini today and I was going to get a week of peace.
I was also due to be flying to Bilbao for a week in San Sebastian next month For Euros and golf.

We have both decided that if we do holiday it will be in the UK for the foreseeable future. My wife is not a good flyer to start with so it’s an easy decision. We have also had some smashing UK breaks and I can see the cabin type getaways being the way forward.

Alaska cruise in 3 weeks definitely off, not heard from travel company yet

Family holiday with grand children July, probably off

Cyprus holiday September, cant see it happening after Foreign Office statement

was supposed to be going to Lake Garda late July, but just had an email from TUI saying they have decided to scrap all their Lakes and Mountains holidays for this year.

now to try to get a refund.

Only thing booked is in September/October with Lincoln Quaker Tours, just hoping that Nicola has unlocked enough of Scotland that it can go ahead, assuming that social distancing has relaxed this far south that we can all get in the one car. We'll see.

We were booked in a villa at Lake Garda via Airbnb. I cancelled last week (got full refund as I booked the villa in Sept 2020) and booked a Lanzarote holiday in Feb 2021, as well as another one in Aug 2021.

A little glimmer of hope. I sent a message to our airbnb hosts in Holland asking how things are. Hair dressers and beauty therapists have now opened, handy , many shops have opened, bars and restaurants will open on June 1st, museums will open with reservations required. Good signs though and maybe it will be possible to go there after all and have a close to normal holiday? Another 2 1/2 months until we are going so more time for things to open and ease up. (equally there could be a spike and it all goes backwards of course)

Our Alaska cruise and Rocky Mountaineer trip has been cancelled and I was going to have the cash back but decided in chatting to the agent that we'd rebook for the same cruise next year. It has a new ABTA guarantee and they added a drinks package - at least something to look forward to

Over 100 attempts to get through to TUI, finally got into the queueing system yesterday afternoon, was told the wait time would be around an hour. Was on hold for 2 hours 4 minutes and then got cut off just before they closed for the night.

A cynic would say they are doing this to avoid giving refunds.

It is a nonsense that you need to ring for a refund. My daughter had tickets for the Leeds Festival which was cancelled this week. There was a link in the cancellation email which gave you the choice of using your ticket for next year's festival or getting a refund. Why couldn't TUI have done this? (Yes, I know I've answered that question in the previous paragraph).

If we went by coach it may be possible to spread out at 2 metre spaces

I can feel your pain. I love Sanibel and Captiva. I wish I could afford to buy a house there.

One of the best views from a pub beer garden.
