Hi all,

With us being a couple weeks into 2019 I wanted to know if you'd set your goals for the upcoming season? Whether aiming for goals like:

- Get to X handicap
- Hit more fairways
- Make more putts from X foot
- Win Club Championship

I'd love to know what you're aiming for and pushing towards for your golf games.

I've recently created a YouTube channel and discussed how to set them and my goals as examples which may help if you haven't set any yet.

Would love to know your thoughts and what you're planning on setting this upcoming season. Maybe they'll help inspire others!
Take Care
Mark

Get down somewhere low Cat 2 and just simply enjoy playing the game. No point adding extra pressure by targeting a win in a club Champ as its only a game and hobby

Short game, short game, short game.

End of 🤣

Great goal there - it's a lot of fun to practice that, especially the different area's. I'd highly recommend doing a Dave Pelz test to see which area's need the more work on. It's a great test and breaks down which are your strong and weaker areas of your short game. Perfect benchmarking tool too. Best of luck with improving that area!

Get down to plus 2 and be pushing plus 3.
Win 3rd club championship in a row.
Play in open qualifying
Few other local/regional events I'd like to win or be near the top
Get into the county team

Those are some solid goals, how are you planning on achieving them. Do you have smaller targeted goals within certainly aspects of your performance?

Sorry to hear about the injury, are you able to do any indoor putting at all? Best of luck with yours too!

No real golfing goals for me apart from enjoying the few games I’ll play which will mainly be forum meets

Really want to get fit - both physically and more importantly mentally!

Same as every year, play golf and enjoy myself.

Totally agree that enjoying yourself should be the main part of golf, else what's the point in playing?

Get down to 12 (14) official hc
Get down to 9 (12) society
Get my first victory on the European tour & qualify for the Ryder Cup in 2020. Also start my own YouTube channel👍

Best of luck with these!

* Finish the season getting fewer shots that I start the season.
* Come away from my autumn tour to Portugal having won more money than I've lost.
* Play more

If I can do those then it'll be a good golfing year.

Been rebuilding my swing with my coach since October , really hitting it good now probably verging on best ever and it's getting more consistent all the time, pretty much just want to dedicate more time to pitching from 15-50 yards and just keep working on everything else as normal. Do more pressure putting drills. Other than that I'm mentally pretty tough, I put myself in good positions just need to keep sanding down the rougher edges

Is he looking for PGA pro or tour player...

One could be possible with practise to register for the course and do the PAT, the other well let's just say he's dreaming big 😂
