2017 achievement targets

Mine is exactly the same as the op. But, while aiming for a 4 shot reduction, I wouldnt mind 1 or 2. Just as long as it keeps coming down.

Also stop buying new bats and put the money into joining a proper club

Build on 2016 (in no particular order) :-

Play more golf - so no going back to full time work !
Practice less on range - less time after work stressed out on dark driving range in winter months - more time on course
Break 80 again (and more often) - never achieved before 2016 and managed it in 3 comps
Achieve the holy grail of 9.4 or less handicap (believe I can do it after above - never really convinced before)
Keep up the regular lessons, focussing on the key areas my game can be improved in and drive the above
Try and enjoy golf - so focussed on the challenge and perfection (no where near achievable) I lose sight of the enjoyment side too often
Play more away golf
Have a proper look at alternative courses to join in Q1 - though new track might impede some of above
Have a through the bag club fit (got given money for this specifically for Christmas) - then work out what I can actually afford to change

Good luck all in 2017 !

Starting the year on 12.9 with a goal to get to 11.4 or better.

Lowest I've been is 11.6 eighteen months ago so I believe it is achievable.

First and foremost, to get fit and healthy and then play more golf.

After that, I want to get the handicap down but above all just have fun working on my game, doing it my way and seeing what happens

Looking to qualify for the 36 hole final and the club championship, wanting to get past the second round of the match play having never played in it. Reduce handicap to 16. And overall play good golf.

My normal goal is to simply enjoy playing..
But this year I'm setting another goal of maintaining my handicap.
New club beckons and it's longer than my current one. More tree lined as well so if I can stick at 7 for the year I'll be happy.

Well, courtesy of PJ, I have a new goal...
To get to Cat 1 by H4H day...😭😁😝

Two targets for me:

1 - get handicap cut by at least 3 shots from 9.2

2 - play at least 12 top 100 golf courses (1 a month) towards my challenge to play them all

I'm planning to get out of my comfort zone and try to play a few more higher level events.

My handicap has come down every year since I first got one and I hope to keep that record going. Getting to scratch would be nice and not impossible but pretty tough.

I started playing more consistently in September and so I have a target of getting to 11 this year. If I was just playing WP, that might well be possible but Enville is a tougher prospect so 12 will be the aim.

To achieve this, my chipping needs to improve. Driving is straight but not long so my irons need to be more consistent.

To cut out the ridiculously ambitious shots when trying to recover from a bad shot.

The stroke has gone, move on and don't do any more damage.

(This should knock 2/3 shots off my handicap :o:o)

handicap down 10 shots to 13

Get in 50+ rounds

Break 80

Enjoy my golf, play with more new people and socialise while playing

After a 1.6 increase last season I just want to get lower again this year, no target though.

Also want to play in some nice tournaments like last year, might me harder to get in though with my increased handicap.
