As I got picked for it last year I guess that's going to rule me out?

Anyone who is thinking about it but undecided or worried about their standard of play, enter whatever you do, these guys were great fun. I played with Matt Nixon and it was like playing with your pals, he was great company, didn't worry about duff shots and gave me a lot of tips about the approach to playing holes and how tour players look at the shot to be played, he applauded the good shots and actually hit an odd poor one himself. Mike and the GM team were just great company too, so all in all, a day that I'll remember for ever

Would love to enter this but due to my level of golf would be embarrassed to play with a pro :( Good luck for those who take part maybe one year when I am not rubbish I will be able to apply ?:)

What a fantastic opportunity. For those that are worried about their handicap showing them up, I'd say that I'm struggling to play to 21 at the moment and I'm applying. It's a hobby it's something we do for fun and the pro's know and appreciate that. They are just average guys that do this for a job and as a result are very good at it. The majority of us couldn't walk into someone else's job and be great at it, however you wouldn't ridicule them. You're more likely to help them.

On a similar line I'm a fan of Coventry City and when I was about 10 my Mum came home from work and said "my boss is going to the football tonight do you want to go with him and his son?" being shy and timid I refused the opportunity. The next day I learned that it was a corporate deal and the company were match sponsors for the evening. The lad that went in my place got to go into the changing rooms and met the players and got the full 5 star treatment, match ball etc. I'm sure that most of us understand how heartbreaking this would be for a kid to miss out on. As a result I don't let my ability rule out my chance to have the experience of a lifetime. You only get one life guys make every day count.

Give it a shot guys it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity regardless of your ability.

oh I bet he is! :D

I will wager he will be too!

Hmm, thinking cap back on for the special element.... The Sun will be out? Mike will be first to the bar? All jokes aside, not sure how you could make that day more special! Guarantee a 3 under par round??!

It's amazing what you can do after modern ceasereans these days - you'll be able to swing a club no problem , don't know what your wife is worrying about ;)

PS count me in, great opp, great mag, great editor, great photographers, wonderful manufactururer, good bunch or pros,

That's my hat in the ring also - given my recent purchase of a brand new bag full of custom fit shiny toys, this seems like the perfect way to christen their first real comp!
