It was odd Ian.....I didn't think it was tough...probably one of the easiest courses I've played this year and I found pretty much all of the fairways with Hybrids or irons with the odd driver/ 3 wood......but as mentioned went on to miss a lot of greens from close in.......
Clearly a lot of guys struggled however and SSS went up by 1.
It was on/off rain all day so waterproofs were on/off which probably didn't help.
Really looking forward to shooting under handicap tomorrow.

Surely as a Senior you will have completely forgotten the course after a month! That's the voice of experience btw!
Hope you play well. They are normally pretty sociable events, with more emphasis on the lunch/afters than the scores, though a County one might be a bit different!

A wee tip when playing the seniors tour , write the names of both your F/Cs on the card you're marking, saves you having to keep asking them again and again. :rofl:

Yep... We were a 2 ball due to a no show.Gutted, unlucky mate. Quick round too...
Group ahead were asked to let us through by the referees when we caught them... 2 agreed ... 1 refused!!!
They had no choice when they lost a ball but I was still trying to get my head round why on earth he would want to do that and promptly lost a ball myself and racked up a 7 which included a referee not giving me a drop. Head went after that and never got it back.

All scores in. Dead last today and 30th out of 68 overall.
Very disappointed but my golf today didn't deserve anything else.
Really can't remember hitting it worse.
Hopefully just a blip and normal service resumed next time.
