Turned 55 last month and playing in my first Senior event this afternoon at Welwyn Garden City in the Herts Senior County Championships.
18 holes, then a halfway cut to see who plays in round 2 tomorrow morning.

Hoping the invitation day I played there last month with ArnoldArmChewer is going to come in handy.

sorry, but 55? no way! Can we cut you in half and count the rings? Just think how much golf you could play when you retire!

Oh and good luck!

Don't tell him but we gave the old duffer every bit of duff info we could think of, including the barmaids penchant for 'older gentlemen'

Good luck Rick

Hard to think of you as a senior... have you told anyone to tuck their shirt in yet? Noticed your bump and running more shots? Pings? Wetting yourself?

Well done Rick, may get a prize yet, Seniors golf dish out quite a few . I got £35 for best gross in my age range at County champs two weeks ago with a 78

Can't believe I didn't shoot a 73!! Dropped 6 shots from 100 yards out from the middle of the fairway where I missed the green!! Shocking.
Those should have been birdie chances and I bogied them all!!
Currently 17th with top 30 and ties to play tomorrow.
Desperate to play as I owe this course a score.

Come on Rick, you need to nob it down the middle, nob it again and cosy it to the hole for a nett par like all us OLD gits!!

Well, made the cut and 9 shots off the lead. I fancy a level par round tommorow.
8:20 tee off but will be there at 7 with a wedge in hand on the practice ground.

Not that easy to win playing against us old foxes, but you'll meet some great characters and hear some far fetched tails, enjoy some cheap golf at great courses.
