11 ball flight laws?

I agree

Balls that start to the right and curve left and balls that start left and curve right are already accounted for. It's just the amount of curve that's different.

I think that you think too much, to me if it goes left there is a reason, by how far doesnt matter, if it wasnt intended, fix it. I havent felt the need to get the chalk board out to explain it

OK, so how do you account for the push-fade and the push-slice? 2 shots that start right and curve right?

Me too but in the new ball flight laws shots C & G on there don't exist... isn't that just crazy? ...and is in fact the whole point of this post

They are there, it's just the amount of curvature you're quibbling. The ball flight laws do include a ball starting away from the target line and turning towards it, whether it reaches the target line, doesn't reach the target line or passes it, it's still the same type of shot with the same causes. It's just the amount of deviation the swing path and clubface alignment are from the target line that are different.

Yes I know that and so do you but how do you think Smiffy is going to be able to look at the chart and figure out how to hit a push-draw if it's not even on there?

It's has about as much value as a chocolate teapot!.. and is frankly TYPICAL of just how lack of decent information has damaged the game over the years for the majority of amateur golfers.




I'd like to see you give this chart to one of your 20 h/cap students and say "Right, now hit a push-draw"

I bet half the people on the forum couldn't figure it out! Especially those above single figures (no offence Smiffy)

when i am confident i will hit the ball every time i will consider attempting the various pretty shapes shown.

Am I missing something? Isn't a proper draw or fade, you know, like the ones the Pro's hit supposed to start away from the target line and come back in. Surely what this is calling a push-draw is actually a draw. A shot that starts straight and goes left is surely a hook?
