The Challenge - This Sunday 21st June.
The team will be the first golfers in recorded history to have completed this unique challenge and have chosen the longest day to take advantage of the daylight hours. They will tee off in Kent at 4.15am and expect to complete the challenge in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, before it gets dark at 10pm, starting their day at Princes in Sandwich, Kent, then play Royal St Georges in Sandwich, Royal Cinque Ports in Deal, Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, Royal Birkdale in Southport, and Royal Lytham & St Annes. All golf clubs are generously supporting the challenge. Michael Owen's twin-engine helicopter will jet the team across the country to achieve their one-day goal. Despite this luxury the golfers won’t be allowed buggies or caddies on the day.
The event is in aid of The Willow Foundation which provides special days for very sick, often terminally ill young adults.
