    Severe headaches after golf

Hi Chris, Do you wear glasses? Or if not prescription do you wear sunglasses on the course? This happened to me every round I played and in the end it turned out it was the strain I was putting on my eyes. Wearing sunglasses prescription or not makes all the difference for me now.

    Lessons, a golfing sin?

Agree with above... Ignore them. In time given the right tuition and ample practice you will be a far superior golfer to them and they will still take the proverbial but it will be out of jealousy instead of spite.

    Electric or Push Trolley?

As others have said its personal preference and really depends how much you value limiting exertion between shots. I had a Motocaddy M3 Pro, was a good trolley but the motor packed up and had to be sent back to have it replaced (twice), then after every round I would always forget to take out...

Hybrids are the devil's own clubs; how about driving irons?

Hi, My bag goes like this: 915D3 9.5 Mizuno jpx 825 3 wood Titleist T-mb 2 iron Titleist AP2 712 4 iron and so on.... I have used hybrids in the past but feel like my 2 iron is a lot more versatile. I carry it about 220 yards and feel like my miss with it is probably about 50% less damaging...

    How do you measure progress?

Can't argue with that. I think a great way to measure is to look at strokes played on the same course over a range of time. If you play 15 rounds and average 85 shots then another 15 rounds and you average 84 shots. Regardless of ups / downs with the putter or good / bad days with the driver...

    How do you measure progress?

Looked like an interesting thread, I thought I would read the comments above on this page to see how others "measure progress". Seems as though the focus has shifted a little! May have been said previous but I am sure a lot measure their progress on all sorts of things, fairways found, number of...

    Fairweather Golf, Camberley

I'm in Sandhurst too. Would be interested to hear what youthink of the Robogolf. That aside, I think it would be good fun just to have a simulated round with a few cold ones. Especially given the current chilly climate!

New Club? Berks / Hants Border... Help!

If I lived on Elvetham, North Hants would have been my first stop after milk and bread from Morrisons :)

New Club? Berks / Hants Border... Help!

Haha good cast ;) I second that! For a home course it would be too far for me. I suppose me becoming more active as a member means it needs to be convenient to a point. It only takes me twenty minutes to get to current club but that 40 minute overall commute is like gold dust on a Sunday with a...

New Club? Berks / Hants Border... Help!

I love the look of east Berks, highly regarded if I look at course ratings rather than personal opionions (granted are rated on the same thing to a certain extent). It's probably a little more than I would like to spend which saddens me deeply :)

New Club? Berks / Hants Border... Help!

North Hants is definitely a viable option. Not to far and looks to be good value, certainly better to do it now as the entrance fee is substantially lower than it will be once I am 30. Would be interested to hear anyone's feedback on the course itself?

New Club? Berks / Hants Border... Help!

Hi Steve, Not really a budget in mind. I have got away paying far too little for far too long I suspect ;) I actually worked at a crown golf course in my teens (Oak Park), then moved to Weybrook Park in Basingstoke and then onto Tylney Park. Both clubs very cheap offering discounted subs for...
